If you want the shortcut, just press CTRL + D, and you will notice the star on that page will turn yellow.

Click the star on the side of the address bar,and it will be added. Also on the default homepage, you can see recently bookmarked on the side.
There is also a bookmark manager in the menu which has a Wrench for its icon.

Hit the little star in the address bar. Also visit them a lot and they will come up right away when you start chrome.
